Who we are

The Gender Diverse and Queer Clinic (GDQC) is an IU School of Medicine student-run clinic that provides free care to patients who are uninsured, underinsured, and/or do not qualify for Medicaid, Medicare, or other free medical programs, with a focus on safe and affirming primary care for LGBTQ+ patients.

The GDQC operates in partnership between IU School of Medicine and IU Health one Sunday per month in Bloomington, Indiana.

Services include preventative care, mental health services, harm reduction, sexually transmitted infection testing, patient education on vaccination, resources for patients experiencing housing crises and/or substance use, connections to gender-affirming community organizations and medications, and referrals to Indianapolis-based gender services.
